The Kids club at Niyama Resort might be on of the best in all the world. Lets hear from Samuel...
Niyama Kids club is the best. Its got every thing you could imagine. I liked it better than the theme parks at Orlando.
At the kids club there was a splash park, a pool table and a trampoline for example. They also take you on adventures and learning trips. Some of the adventures included dolphin trips, sea kayaking, mocktail classes, Maldivian origami using coconut leaves and paper origami. They also have cooking classes.
I enjoyed the baking in their kitchen making two types of cupcakes on different occasions. I made vanilla cakes dyed green and the classic chocolate cupcakes for the Niyama bake off and Niyama baking. The cupcakes were lovely and all of our family enjoyed them....
I also did two Masterchef classes. One was a mocktail making masterclass and the other was making my own chicken quesadillas at the Tribal restaurant.
My favourite instructor was Iggy. She went on most of the adventures with me. In particular stand up paddle boarding. She also took me on a photography masterclass around the island. I used my camera to take some professional looking photos. We went to three beautiful photo destinations where I took photos and Iggy took photos of me including me lying in a hammock.
The dolphin trip was awesome. Iggy came on that too. The trip went close to the island with the airport (not part of Niyama). Some kids only went for half the trip because they felt seasick. We saw something like 15 dolphins. It was exciting. We saw dolphins right near the end, some of them swam under the boat. I saw them out of the window.
I made a t shirt for myself with an artistic touch. It was great fun and it looked amazing with splatters of different colours some mixed and some not.
They also took us swimming which I liked. Later on in the stay I met a nice girl called Evie from England and two boys called Finley and George. They were good friends.
Part of the kids club was a dry surfing lesson. While this was okay, mummy and daddy bought me a surfing lesson in the water. The lesson was with another Sam, believe it or not. It taught me the basics of surfing. I stood up for 13 seconds and my favourite was the turtle roll. I still wonder how you get into the barrel roll.
Stand up paddle boarding was my favourite thing overall. It was very much like surfing which I have never done before.
The place we stayed at had an underwater restaurant (Subsix) but although it was on the program, we couldn't visit because it sprung a leak.
As you can see Niyama had a great kids club with so many fun activities. I wish very much I could go again.
