The NBA regular season is just around the corner and teams are beginning their schedule of practice games. By chance while we were in Salt Lake City the Jazz had their first preseason game scheduled against none other than the Adelaide 36ers from Australia's NBL. The Jazz feature two Australians on their roster Joe Ingles (a legend in Utah) and the perennially injured Dante Exum. With tickets going for next to nothing we went along for the night. Sorry the photos are a bit scratchy but we could only take pictures with Elises phone. Only NBA accredited photographers can take real cameras inside.
Vivint Smart Home Arena is a great stadium. We arrived early to enjoy the whole experience which started with dinner at one of the sitdown stadium food outlets. Even up in the top deck the view of the court was excellent. When full almost 20,000 can fit inside though tonights crowd was far from that.
The game itself was a fizzer. Even without stars Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell who were rested, the Jazz won by plenty. Adelaide was diabolical. Nevertheless we enjoyed the game and the fan experience.
