Sunday was the finale at the Campus of the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Eric's run was not very economical with a massive error on the first control undoing much of advantage earned over days 1 and 2. Thankfully there was enough of a gap in reserve that the overall victory was still secured. Samuel continued his rapid improvement again managing to get around in a reasonable time.
After lunch it was time for a bit more fun with a mixed sprint relay organised around the same map. Samuel sat this one out but Eric was in demand with two teams trying to recruit him. Eventually it was settled that he would run tthe last leg in an elite team with Filip and Katerina from Slovakia. We finished 7th out of 35 teams which was pretty good though it was lucky the course wasn't much longer. Tim Robertson (World Championships Sprint silver medallist) gave Eric 2 1/2 minutes start on a 2.8km course and made up all but 20 seconds by the end!
